Glimpses in Our Garden

Karen took a few pictures in our garden in Red Bluff, California. I hope you enjoy them.

Talk about a big bell pepper!

This Armenian cucumber won the Big Ku prize this summer.
If you don’t pick them early, they get too big and often don’t taste well if edible.

The pumpkins are coming! The pumpkins are coming! The pumpkins are coming!

On this hot summer day, this bat was resting in the shade on the side of the house. There is some dust on his furry coat. Bats are the only mammals that fly. Hopefully, he will move on tonight. Anybody know what species of bat this is?? He is too big for a California Myotis, being about 4″ long, but kind of looks like one.
